#2020 rally George Square November 2nd 1.30pm

News broke last week that First Minister Nicola Sturgeon would speak at a rally to be held in George Square Glasgow on 2nd November. In the First Minister’s own words she writes:

“Now more than ever, it’s clear that the best future for Scotland is as an independent nation.”

It certainly is and always has been, everyone who actively campaigned knows that Scotland would flourish as an independent nation. However, there are still some who are yet to be convinced of this and yes; there are those who still get their news from the State Broadcasting BBC. Therefore, there is still a lot of work to do but we are all up to the challenge and raring to go.

 The First Minister went on:

“Scotland has been completely ignored by Westminster throughout the Brexit process. But Scotland has had enough of being told what to do by Westminster. It’s time for the people of Scotland to have a choice – and I believe we will vote Yes to an independent future.”

She is not wrong, Scotland has been treated shamefully since 2014, the mass walkout of the Tories which had the Scottish Tories chomping at the bit and eager to show to whom their loyalty to their elitist peers really was sickening. How SNP’s Ian Blackford puts up with such behaviour is beyond me. I guess he is just used to the disgusting behaviour of those ill-educated toffs, who should go back and learn some manners.

Saturday’s rally is organised by our own Newspaper, The National, who have invited everyone to attend as mentioned by Nicola.

“This rally…is a great opportunity for people across Scotland to come together, make our voices heard and demand that Westminster stops trying to block the right to choose our own future.”

This is going to be big, I just hope George Square can hold that many people. There are things afoot, or the First Minister has bowed to the pressure of the ‘yes’ movement who have asked where she was and why she had not addressed the people of Scotland yet. Either way, it will be interesting to hear what she has to say. And what she intends to do if a section 30 order is not granted?
